Music has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, whether I was listening to my dad’s band or attempting to sing like Celine Dione as a kid (and wondering why I couldn’t hit the same notes that she could). Once I entered second grade, I took classical piano lessons until I started playing the bass in my middle school band. I soon transitioned to guitar in high school. My first experience playing with a band was with my youth group band at Valley Church, where I played bass and guitar. I was able to have a leadership position my senior year in both the high school and middle school worship bands.
I also had the great opportunity to be a part of the advanced rock band at the Jam Center in high school leading into college. Two years ago, I started teaching private piano and guitar lessons. Currently, I am studying Justice Studies at SJSU, teaching private music lessons, leading in my church’s youth group, and having fun coaching at the Jam Center!
